Dump Truck Fire

Imagine a dump truck on fire. The garbage in the truck is, whether by accident or on purpose, on fire. The fire can be put out but not until the driver stops. Now imagine they won't stop the truck. In use, it describes a failure in leadership to address a serious problem within an organization, because to do so would mean haulting usual operation.

fire tuesday

Fire Tuesday is the one day of week that you wait until dark to burn everything you can in the garden.

It is only acceptable to burn on a Tuesday under the cover of darkness. If you fail to follow the fire Tuesday code of conduct you run the risk of angry neighbours.
