jinx is a game, useally played by little kids it can happen at anytime its diffrent from where you come from for some people you just say "you owe me a soda" or you wont be able to talk untill someone says your name, but back in my day it was a lot diffrent people used to take jinx seriously if someone said jinx you had 15 seconds to tag them if you dont they point at you and call you a very bad word this can range from "cunt ni@#$&" to "poopyhead" also no one would punish them for such vulger language since theyed just say "welp you shoulda taged him/her" anyways if you talked before someone said your name you get bad luck forever u guess or until you win a jinx

anti-jinx

A practice often used at sporting events.

It's an attempt to jinx your opponent by openly calling the match in their favor or by predicting doom and failure for your own team, saving face in case you lose, whilst simultaneously allowing you to be incredibly smug in victory and thereby fulfilling the anti-jinx.

When an event which receives a lot of hype ends up getting cancelled after something devastating occurs.

In December 2021, people around the world began to prepare for Betty White's 100th birthday the following month. Some people even went so far as to count down the days until she reached 100. But on New Year's Eve, the White 100 Jinx occurred. Betty White unexpectedly died, seventeen days shy of 100, to the shock of all of her fans who were anticipating the great big 100th birthday blowout.
