Abercrombie and Fitch

A brand which sells horrible shirts but nice jeans. If you're really skinny, like me, you will know that its difficult to shop for jeans as the ones that fit your waist are too short. Well, in this store I have found jeans that fit me perfectly and thats a plus for them.

I'd like to quote kewltrunkz, the second definition for this word. She says "A retail line where if they suddenly decided that breathing wasn't cool, half the people in this world, especially the preps, would die." I want to make this clear: preps don't wear Abercrombie and Fitch. They may have the occasional item, but they seriously don't shop there. That's quite an error.

The shirts, I will agree, are overpriced. You can get much more elegant and well-fitting shirts in better stores for the same price (eg. J. Crew)

A thing I find funny about this store is the hype that surrounds it. If you go to Fifth Avenue, New York, across from the Tiffany's store, you will find a big wooden-like building with the shape of a box and, on festives, a line that goes around the block. I find this amazing. Do people really queue to enter that average store on their few days of vacation in the amazing city that is New York? What a mentality.

Summary:
1. Jeans are perfect for skinny people
2. Shirts are a rip-off
3. Don't do the queue
Preppy 1: Look, I bought some Abercrombie and Fitch jeans.

Preppy 2: They look great on you! But I have to say, that store sells some horrendous t-shirts and hoodies.
Preppy 1: I agree.

8-year-old girl: Mummy! Mummy! Please take me to A&F, all my class is wearing it!
Mother: Okay sweetheart, we'll check it out sometime.

4 years later, the girl is a slut wearing too much make-up and jean-knickers (in A&F they call them shorts!)

Lilly Pulitzer

A great brand that makes bright summer dresses and beachwear to die for. A classic.
1. She wore Lilly from head to toe: a Regan dress, beige McKim sandals and an Edie cardigan.

2. Many people consider Lilly Pulitzer the epitome of elegance nowadays, even placing the brand alongside legends like Hermès.

Grace Kelly

A great actress, one of the best of the 20th Century. She was elegant, beautiful and acted admirably. She married young to Prince Rainiero of Monaco, which was a pity as she stopped doing movies. She won an Academy Award (aka Oscar) for her performance in "A Country Girl". One of her best movies is "To Catch a Thief", opposite Cary Grant. She was a favorite of one of the best directors of all times, Alfred Hitchcock. If you don't know her, I would buy/rent one of her movies. She's an icon.

Sadly, most of the young generation only know her name due to the song by Mika, but don't know what a great personality that name has behind.
You don't know Grace Kelly? Seriously....? Go watch "To Catch a Thief" or "Rear Window" like, now.

John Lennon

An extremely talented artist. Symbol of a new era. He was very enlightened, without doubt, but made several serious mistakes during his career. Paul McCartney always kept trying to shadow him, but all his efforts were in vain; John Lennon was just too big (not in the literal sense of the word, he was actually very skinny).

Lennon was killed by Mark David Chapman, a mentally ill man. Even though this man killed one of the greatest figures of all times, he had a great taste in literature; he loved The Catcher in the Rye which is one of the greatest books of all time written by one of the best authors of all time, J. D. Sallinger.

May John Lennon rest in peace.
I recommend buying any "Best of John Lennon" album. He's seriously great. Anyone who says the contrary is a motherfucking jealous n00b and should be automatically killed.

Warren Beatty

One of the best actors of all times. Best known for his main character role in Bonnie and Clyde, in which he starred opposite the great Faye Dunaway. Warren Beatty was handsome, clever, atractive and a great actor and yet he isn't that famous. One of the big injustices of life.

If you haven't seen any of his movies, I recommend you buy Bonnie and Clyde right away. Its well worth it.
Warren Beatty played Clyde Barrow in Bonnie and Clyde. Go watch that movie, or at least google Warren.

Faye Dunaway

One of the greatest and most beautiful actresses of all times. This oscar-winning actress is best known for her role as Bonnie Parker in Bonnie and Clyde, where she starred opposite equally talented and handsome actor Warren Beatty. Dunaway has been acting since 1965 to the present day (she was in an episode of Grey's Anatomy!!) She was as talented as some of the greatest, e.g. Grace Kelly.

I recommend watching as many of her movies as you can get your hands on. Seriously, she was great.
The other day, I watched a great film with this beautiful actress whom I didn't know, Faye Dunaway!. My mom says she was very famous back in the 70s.
