Similar to illusion an ALusion is telling a lie so many times that you actually convince yourself that what you're saying it true.

Me and the boys were going to drive my Chevy to Jimmy's Levy for Memorial Day weekend but were under the ALusion that his Dad was going to be staying there instead.

Ralphalization

The art of convincing yourself that what you're saying is true in order to justify lies to cover lies to cover lies to cover lies, etc. If you believe it to be true in your mind, you've already won half the battle.

When I didn't show up or call I knew that had to come up with a pretty good Ralphalization in order to avoid catching shit from everyone. I said that my dog ate my homework, an old friend came in from out of town, my clothes were in the washing machine, I was shaving, my cellphone isn't working...and all of those things really are possible. Therefore, I really didn't lie!

What someone says or does in order to appease the moment.

When I heard Al say he had every Yeltention of being back in the ATL by Sunday, I was positive that nigger wasn't coming back until at least Wednesday.
