high

To "get high" off of something means to feel especially good after doing something. That something might be algebra, some kind of drug, or perhaps a really good book. The high off of illegal drugs, though, is synthetic and is NOT a good high, as it brings your mood straight down after you get this high.

You might laugh at the slightest thing or feel free of worry. It depends on the individual, really.
Person 1: "Yo, do you want to get high off this new thing."
Person 2: "No, I'm not crazy like that. I get high off of good things that don't bring me down. Here's an awesome book." -hands person 1 a book-

Norwalk

I've always looked at it as being boring, living here all of my life, but it is alright. It isn't very dangerous, quite safe in most suburban residential areas. Some areas, though, have rising crime rates.

Contrary to popular belief, Norwalk is an extremely diverse town. One side of Norwalk could be completely different from the other side. Norwalk is NOT a ghetto, although certain parts of South Norwalk can be counted as a ghetto. Some of South Norwalk can be extremely culturally diverse and interesting.

East Norwalk is what you would think as a suburban part of Norwalk. It contains many suburban homes and schools convieniently located around the middle of the residential area.

Yes, there are traditional "preps" in Norwalk, but most of them are nouveau riche preps who go to country clubs such as Shore and Country and Shorehaven. Also, there are the various cliques.
Person from West Coast: Oh, I hear Norwalk's a ghetto.
Norwalkian: WHAT?!

Norwalk

A partially nice town. What I mean by partially is that certain parts of Norwalk are really.....really poor, not to be rude. Norwalk is a far cry from the rest of Fairfield County. It's unique. It contains preps, gothics, skaters, nerds, and supposed "gangstas" mostly in South Norwalk. East Norwalk can be.....extremely suburban, and there are many preps.

Some "preps" go to country clubs. There's two in East Norwalk: Shorehaven and Shore and Country.

Shore and Country is mostly for "traditional" preps while Shorehaven is more for new preps.

I actually know a few teachers who go to Shore and Country. One is from Wilton, though. Wealthy people from all around go there.
Norwalk is a rather interesting town.

Avril Lavigne

A singer born in Napanee, Ontario, Canada. She started singing country when she was young. In high school, she was a cheerleader and she took chorus and hockey, although she denies at times the first one. She has a nice voice, but her reputation is really bad because she called her music punk, new country, and then heavy metal. Her music is pop, basically. It has tinges of rock, but that's about it. One listen to her first CD, Let Go, will make you wonder.

Caused a major fashion movement in which "wanna-be" skater-chicks dressed up like Avril and pretended to be skaters. The majority of those people were young girls between 8-12 who didn't have a clue what "hardcore punk" was.
Avril Lavigne isn't hardcore okay?! So stop IMing me saying, "OMG LYK AVRIL IS so0o0o0o0o HARDCORE RAWK LYK OMG!" But if you do want to talk, on AIM, it's ccglasses19.

label

A word most teenagers don't know what it means. The real definition is "a descriptive term; an epithet."

An epithet, for those of you who don't know, is "A term used to characterize a person or thing, such as rosy-fingered in rosy-fingered dawn or the Great in Catherine the Great.
A term used as a descriptive substitute for the name or title of a person, such as The Great Emancipator for Abraham Lincoln.
An abusive or contemptuous word or phrase."

Now look closely at the sentence, "An abusive or contemptuous word or phrase." Isn't that what labels really are?

Labels characterize people. Most people today think labels are basically cliques of people, but it's not. You can hang out with whoever you want, and still be considered a certain label. I dunno about you, but if you would just be yourself, a descriptive term would come up; (otherwise known as a label) INDIVIDUAL! You can't get away from labels. They're a part of life. Deal with it.

-Constance
Deal with it if someone calls you a prep or a nerd. Take it as a compliment and still be yourself. If you want to talk about this, IM me on AIM at ccglasses19.

Jesus

The light of the world, the one who came and died on the cross to forgive us of all of our sins. There is a religion based on that, called Christianity.
Jesus is the light of the world. Read John 3:16.

neopets

Literally means "new pets."

I totally agree with the definitions already put.....I'm addicted, that's what my mom and dad say. I really should be practicing more piano and working on my homework and projects harder, but yeah, the site is addicting people. Warning. It is very addicting. I already am okay neopoint-wise (the currency there) but I mainly use it for chat now.....even though I can say practically nothing other than neopets talk, which is really boring.....but I don't know.....I like talking to people like in Canada or across the U.S., so I guess that's why.....hmm.....I dunno, I guess adam and donna know how to addict people.....
Neopets is addicting. Go on it, and you probably will get addicted. They freeze too many people, and I got a warning for doing a gift war on the boards. Really really strict.
