Anime Expo, short form AX, is an anime convention. AX is a 24-hour convention, offering late-night dances, all night video and gaming rooms, and open-mic Karaoke in the nighttime hours.

The line to the bathroom was longer than the line to the anime expo

The phrase “The line to the bathroom was longer than the line to the anime expo” was first used in late 2025 to express the fact that the line to the bathroom was in fact very long. It is a well known fact that lines to anime expos are extremely long so it’s quite humorous to imagine a bathroom line being longer than one to an anime expo.

Person 1: How was the line to the bathroom?
Person 2: The line to the bathroom was longer than the line to the anime expo.
Person 1: HAHAHAHAHA THAT’S SO FUNNY!
