Hym "And he (Aaron McGruder) gave a speech at UCLA and in it he claimed that White people had 'black fatigue' and, therefore, don't care about black grievance politics as much anymore and as you can tell from all of the rollbacks in DEI policies... HE WAS RIGHT! So you blaming White people is you making shit up. They didn't even come up with the term. I'm NOT making shit up. You ARE making shit up. That's the difference. And as far as, it being the new 'Nigger' I don't know there's a whole lot of bigotry going around."

Black people, young and old, are fatigued, says award-winning diversity and inclusion leader Mary-Frances Winters. It is physically, mentally, and emotionally draining to continue to experience inequities and even atrocities, day after day, when justice is a God-given and legislated right. And it is exhausting to have to constantly explain this to white people, even--and especially--well-meaning white people, who fall prey to white fragility and too often are unwittingly complicit in upholding the very systems they say they want dismantled. Get the Black naruto run mug.A "Pretendian" is a term often used by Indians to describe someone who falsely claims Indigenous ancestry or cultural identity without any legitimate basis. This term is often applied to individuals who disrespectfully appropriate/change Indigenous cultures or traditions for personal gain (in an effort to seem more exotic or interesting than they really are.)
Similar to a “pretendian”, Black Americans have a play on the term "Foundational Black Americans" (FBAs) — "Fossilized Black Americans."
Just like “Pretendians”, Fossilized Black Americans cling to any minuscule amount of African DNA remnant from their ancestors, to try to legitimately claim that they are part of the black identity in the present (Even if authentic, dark-skinned Black Americans don’t see them as black; Even when they don’t look black; Even when they’re extremely distanced from blackness and black culture)
They are fossils of the former identity that their ancestors embodied.
