Charizard

Almost as oversaturated as Pikachu by Game Freak, this Pokemon is the most favored one out of all of the hundreds by Game Freak, which has led it to gain 2 Mega Evolutions, a Gigantamax Form, and being the signature Pokemon of the Champion of Sword/Shield. This popularity has led it to because one of the most hated/loved Pokemon in the community, as the people who love it usually use its design as a reason for their love. People who hate Charizard usually use the fact that Game Freak could be giving attention to underrated Pokemon whom are more interesting, (i.e. Castform, Keckleon, etc.). This issue has divided the community's view on Charizard, which has led it to be one of the most argued over Pokemon.

The Charizard Effect

The effect where an individual does not put in the effort because the task or duty required is too easy or simple. The name of this effect comes from the first season of Pokemon where Ash's Charizard refuses to battle against weak Pokemon.
