T9 Talk

Sentences in text messages that don't make sense because they were written in T9 word and the writer did not check to make sure the right words came up. This can sometimes be humorous and other times makes the text message impossible to decipher.

Brenda (in text message): What are you doing?
Wanda: I foot know
Brenda: Want to in to a car?
Wanda: That's book with me
Danny: How can you guys understand this T9 talk?

To completely interrupt someone and talk about something else, for no apparent reason.

Nick: "One time I was going over to..."
Tyler: "Hey did you catch the game last night?"
Ryan: "You just talk blocked Nick!"

Legit talk

This word is another form of "for real." One can use this term to affirm a comment or statement made by another person. This term can be used as a rhetorical question as well.

Person 1: Is that a new car?
Person2: Legit talk bro. I just got it yesterday.

Person 1: Did you know that CNN is on channel 35?
Person 2: Legit talk?

Person 1: Dude I just aced my final.
Person 2: That's legit talk.

1) To pretend a conversation has reached its end, a subtle (or not) attempt to cut off what the other person is saying and conclude matters immediately.

2) A disconnect in conversation wrought by distraction.

Jeff: "Well, that's great, so I guess I'll talk to you again really soon."

Lora: "Don't you short-talk me."
