You might say one thing about (for example) your suffering depression, and you will be trapped in a 20 minute conversation with them about their battles and opinion on every mental health issue imaginable. Issues hogs will have very little consideration for you, can never offer a listening ear, only their own self absorbed anecdotes, due their narcissism and inflated sense of self.

Linda is such an issues hog- when I came to her for support when my mother died, all she did was moan about her own experiences when her mother passed away.
