Truth

All that you, with your little brain, can not think, say, define, translate, write... that is, Nothing.
Nothing thinkable, verbalizable, questionable, translatable.
For this reason nobody wants the truth: it is neither teachable nor salable.
Truth school lesson.

Student: Who were you before you were born? That is, who are you?
Liar (School Teacher): Simply myself.
Honest student: Don't know. I can't express who I really am.

Truth

The truth is simply what we want to believe. We can look at textbooks, we can look at anything. But writing is simply not enough. We need proof.
For it to be a full truth, we need to see it with our eyes. We need to find it out ourselves. But even then, we could be wrong.

We could do it wrong. Maybe our measurements and math weren’t correct.
Another point, maybe everybody could be lying to us. And we had never suspected a thing.
Maybe red is blue, and blue is red. As in they had different names.
Our whole life could be filled with lies, and we would never suspect a thing.
The truth is simply what we want to believe.
Me: Define truth.

Friend: The truth is the beauty of the world and what is actually happening or that happened

Me: That's her definition of truth. What she thinks it is, or knows. We all know something, but maybe they're just lies.
But then again, there's still so much we don't know right know, and will never know.

Adjacent to the truth

Same, similar to the truth.
Yes I was guilty but only for telling the truth. In other words I was being adjacent to the truth.

The Pharisees hated Jesus because he told them the truth.

A way of saying "You know I'm right" when someone gets angry at you for speaking the truth. According to scripture, the Pharisees were a group of Jewish elders in Judea (the name of Israel under Roman occupation) who took every chance they could get to catch Jesus and his disciples lacking.
Virgin Woke Urbanist: Amtrak is bad! travel cross-country by air! Or on a Greyhound bus!

Chad Nerd: Actually, there's nothing wrong with Amtrak, and aside from Greyhound, they were picking up the slack during the recent airline meltdowns.

VWU: NO! SHUT UP! THAT'S NOT TRUE!

Totally made-up bu**s**t regarding a shooter of arrows.
There is much debate as to whether Robin Hood even existed; the story could actually be a complete deparcher from the truth.
