Safe

Anything that is safe isn't something the media has to convince you is safe. People have good enough sense and intuition to know what is safe and what is not. If a doctor tells you jumping off a bridge is safe, do you listen to a doctor because the doctor is qualified, or do you make sure you don't try it without a bungee cord if it's above a certain height , especially if it's not a bridge over water?

People know what is safe and what is not, they also know anybody trying desperately to convince them something is safe is a questionable source, even if it's the media.

safe edgy

Edginess that skirts the line of demonetization and actually hurting people's feelings. Effectively edginess while exclusively "punching up".

Safe edgy people joke about white people and white counties like Italy, France, England etc. but never say actual racial slurs. Might say "faggot" if they're gay or gay-adjacent but only use it in a positive tone or aggressive tone towards people who aren't gay. They occasionally make jokes about "zionists" and Jews but claim to not be anti-semitic.

Idubbbz went from being actually edgy to only being safe edgy in a few years due to his wife and Youtube pushing against his edginess.

Safe

1. The way that "safe" is used in a particular part of north Jersey, it is mostly said when something bad has happened or the topic of discussion is not desirable. Can work as an equivalent for "pause".
2. Safety

Person 1: "Yo bro, what is in the sink??"
Person 2: *looks in the sink* "Nah, safe."
Person 3: *walks by* "Hey Person 1 and 2, I think I found the one." *shows picture of 'the one'*
Person 1 and 2, recognizing who is in the picture: "SAAAAFEE!!"
