Beady Eye

Beady Eye are a band formed by Liam Gallagher, with every member of Oasis other than Noel. They were formed in London in 2009. On November 19th 2009, Liam announced that Beady Eye would make their first solo album, and it would possibly release around July 2010. Different Gear, Still Speeding released on February 28th 2011, beginning the first ever tour by Beady Eye. Their first gig was at the legendary Barrowlands in Glasgow on March 3rd 2011. A few notable gigs from 2011 are the Isle Of Wight Festival, The Heineken Jammin' Festival, Melt Festival, iTunes Festival and the Reading Festival. That doesn't mean his voice was great in these gigs, in 2011 his voice was very on and off in 2011. They didn't play much in 2012, only 5 times. One time they played was at the Olypmic Games closing ceremony, they played the Oasis hit Wonderwall. People look back on it negatively, and I can see why, but it's not bad either. 2012 is a pretty good year. 2013 they played a lot of acoustic sets and they finally got to play at the biggest stage in the world. Glastonbury, and it was absolutely dreadful. They made their 3rd appearance at the Barrowlands. And they ended the year by playing the song Iz Rite at Channel 4 studios. In 2014 they played at Big Day Out, and then in March they played in Yokohama and Osaka. And out of nowhere on 25th October 2014, Liam announced Beady Eye had split. The announcement said “Beady Eye are no longer. Thanks for all of your support. LG x”

There was a rumor that in 2005 Zak Starkey was wearing a Beady Eye shirt when the band wasn't even a thing.

Friend: ''Hey, what ya looking at?''

Architecture Student: ''Oh, nothing, just appreciating the intricate design of the doors of the building''

Sociology Student: ''Yeah, I wonder how many social exchanges have occurred around those doors''

Philosophy Student: ''But how and when do we consider something a door?''

Friend: *Sigh* ''Student eyes?''

Students: ''Yeah...''

Iowa Eyes

Also Iowa Lamps or Greenhorns. The way rural newcomers and persons from the provinces stare for prolonged periods of time at urban dwellers, usually with a disbelieving, gawky incredulity. The gaze predictably derives not only from the usual unfamiliarity with the pace, rhythms and protocols of city life, but also an unmistakable unlettered and unsophisticated countenance and temperament.

Sari and I tend to avoid certain urban attractions moreso in the summer than other times of the year. Places like the arcade, central fountain and the boardwalk are simply not pleasurable with all those largely rural, out-of-town tourists out and about. They tend to stare at the locals with those Iowa Eyes or Lamps as if we were circus freaks or zoo animals.
