Short tie

noun, derogatory;
an overweight, boisterous man typically of Italian-American descent, or who attempts to imitate certain aspects of Italian-American "wise guy" culture. So called due to the fact that the size of his obese belly will often cause a necktie to appear too short to reach all the way to his belt line when he is wearing a business suit.
