5D Physics

The study of physical laws across five dimensions: spacetime plus probability. In 5D physics, every event exists not just at a spacetime coordinate but across a spectrum of probability branches, and physical laws govern how objects and energy distribute across these branches. 5D physics explains quantum superposition (particles exist across multiple probability coordinates until observed), wavefunction collapse (observation selects a specific probability branch), and why your keys seem to teleport (they briefly shifted to an adjacent probability coordinate). It's the physics of "Schrödinger's cat is both alive and dead—in different branches," of parallel universes that are physically real, of the multiverse as a physical system rather than a philosophical speculation.
Example: "She applied 5D physics to her dating life. In one probability branch, she was happily married. In another, she was single and loving it. In a third, she was dating someone else entirely. Her actual branch was the one where she was on a mediocre third date, wondering about all the other branches. 5D physics explained her restlessness: she could feel the other branches calling."

6D Physics

The study of physical laws across six dimensions: spacetime, probability, and initial conditions. In 6D physics, the framework expands to include different starting points for universes—different big bangs, different quantum fluctuations, different initial configurations that branch into entire families of probability trees. 6D physics investigates how initial conditions determine everything that follows, how tiny differences at the start amplify into vast divergences, and why you might have been born a billionaire in a different branch with slightly different initial conditions. This is the physics of cosmic inflation, of eternal inflation, of the idea that new universes are constantly budding off from existing ones, each with slightly different initial seeds.
Example: "He invoked 6D physics to explain his financial struggles. 'In this branch, with these initial conditions—my parents' wealth, my education, my first job—I'm struggling. But in a 6D branch with slightly different initial conditions—if my parents had invested differently, if I'd chosen a different major—I'd be rich. I'm just in the wrong initial slice.' His bank account remained empty, but at least he had a cosmic excuse."

7D Physics

The study of physical laws across seven dimensions: spacetime, probability, initial conditions, and physical constants. In 7D physics, the framework includes universes with different fundamental parameters—different strengths of gravity, different speeds of light, different masses of particles. 7D physics investigates how life, consciousness, and complexity might emerge under alternative physics, what kinds of universes are possible, and why our constants seem fine-tuned for life (they're just one slice of an infinite parameter space). This is the physics of the multiverse proper—not just different histories but different kinds of reality, different physics entirely.
Example: "She used 7D physics to comfort herself after burning dinner. 'In this universe, with these physical constants, my dinner is ruined. But in a 7D branch where heat transfers differently, where the Maillard reaction happens at lower temperatures, I'm a master chef. I'm just in the wrong constant slice.' Her dinner was still burnt, but her cosmic perspective was expanding."

8D Physics

The study of physical laws across eight dimensions: spacetime, probability, initial conditions, physical constants, and mathematical structures. In 8D physics, the framework includes universes with different underlying mathematics—different geometries, different number systems, different relationships between quantities. 8D physics investigates how reality would function if 2+2 equaled 5, if circles were square, if pi were exactly 3. It's the physics of mathematical Platonism made physical—the idea that all consistent mathematical structures exist as real universes somewhere in 8D space. This is physics beyond physics, where even the tools we use to describe reality become variables.
Example: "He tried to apply 8D physics to his taxes. 'In this mathematical structure, these deductions make sense. But in an 8D branch with different math—where tax law is consistent, where numbers mean something else—I'd owe nothing. I'm just in the wrong mathematical slice.' The IRS disagreed, preferring 3D math where numbers meant what they usually mean."

9D Physics

The study of physical laws across nine dimensions: spacetime, probability, initial conditions, physical constants, mathematical structures, and logical systems. In 9D physics, the framework includes universes with different rules of logic—different inference patterns, different validity criteria, different definitions of cause and effect. 9D physics investigates how causality would work if A could cause not-A, how prediction would function in a universe where contradictions are permitted, what science would look like if the law of non-contradiction didn't hold. This is physics beyond logic, where even the foundations of reasoning become variables.
Example: "She invoked 9D physics in a debate about climate change. 'In your logical system, the evidence leads to your conclusion. In mine, it doesn't. We're operating from different 9D coordinates—different inference rules, different causality. Neither of us is wrong; we're just logically dimensional.' Her opponent said that was relativistic nonsense. She said that proved her point about different logical systems. The debate continued, infinitely, across dimensions."

10D Physics

The study of physical laws across ten dimensions, as required by string theory for mathematical consistency. In 10D physics, the universe is understood as a complex manifold of vibrating strings, with six spatial dimensions compactified—curled up so small they're invisible. The geometry of these hidden dimensions determines everything: particle masses, force strengths, the very possibility of atoms and chemistry. 10D physics investigates how different compactifications produce different low-energy physics, how branes (higher-dimensional membranes) interact, and why we can't see the dimensions that shape our reality—they're too small, too fundamental, too intimate.
Example: "He explained 10D physics to his therapist as a metaphor for his hidden potential. 'The visible dimensions are what everyone sees—my job, my relationships, my surface. But the compactified dimensions are my true self—curled up small, invisible, yet determining everything. If you could see the full 10D structure, you'd understand why I am the way I am.' His therapist said that was either profound or a very elaborate excuse. He said both were true, which was very 10D."

11D Physics

The study of physical laws across eleven dimensions, the maximum framework required by M-theory, which unifies all string theories into a single 11D structure. In 11D physics, the universe is understood as a vast, multidimensional landscape where different regions have different dimensional geometries, different physical laws, different realities entirely. 11D physics investigates the ultimate nature of existence—how dimensions relate, how membranes interact, how the entire cosmic manifold fits together. This is the physics of everything, everywhere, all at once—the most comprehensive, most ambitious, most unprovable framework ever conceived. 11D physics explains everything and predicts nothing, which is either its glory or its fatal flaw, depending on whether you value testability or beauty.
Example: "She tried to explain 11D physics to her mother, who asked what practical use it had. 'It unifies all forces,' she said. 'It explains the fundamental nature of reality. It's the theory of everything.' Her mother asked if it would help find the car keys. She said no, but in some 11D branches, they were never lost. Her mother found them in her purse. 11D physics had failed again, but at least it was beautiful."
