So, they only let in immigrants who they believe are going to do well. Which skews the studies showing that immigrants are generally more successful"

Hym "The 'Asian work culture' you're talking about relates more to the US only allowing model minorities to immigrate here and is literally killing young men. Japan and South Korea have fairly high suicide rates in the world for that very reason (49th and 4th respectively). 30% of men 27 and younger (in Japan) are virgins. Promoting the culture you are talking about actually has an INVERSE correlation with the outcome you claim to be trying to achieve. To be model trains for someone means to be happy about their situation. It is the opposite of being jealous or envious.
