Doing a 'Bally'

When someone is doing a 'Bally' they are generally not coming into work because they have a minor sniffle - or in most cases there is nothing wrong them at all, and they had simply heard another person in the work place was unwell, and decided to jump onto their bandwagon.

Person 1 - "Have you seen Woody today?" - Person 2 "He's not in, he's doing a 'Bally'"

Do a Baruchi

Committing to a bicycle ride and at the last moment, to give a lame excuse and leave everyone waiting.

He said he would come out for the bike ride, 5 minutes before the starting time he claimed his Brazilian uncle was sleeping on his cycling clothes, we told him not to do a baruchi but he left us in the rain and went back to sleep. #doabaruchi

Doing a Cullum

To claim you wish to do something, then proceeding to get distracted for upwards of fifteen minutes before remembering the original task at hand.

Cullum: Hey do you want to play a game in a minute?

You: Yeah sure
*Cullum doesn't come back to his computer for half an hour*
Cullum: Sorry for the wait I went to the shop.

Cullum: Want to play a game after I've finished my work? ETA is 10 minutes.
You: Okay sure
Cullum: Be right back I'm gonna get a coffee before we start
*Cullum has actually gone to the pub after disappearing for 20 minutes*

Doing a Johra on it can refer to many things such as 1- Becoming laughably angry at his best mates over nothing 2- Drinking enough to kill oneself on one occasion but never again and resorting to a 2 cans max policy 3- Using unknown units of measurements e.g. 'a fuck mile' believed to be i the region between 30 metros and just over 4.6 miles.
