Native American derogatory derivative often insulting slang (more specifically Anishanabe or Chippewa/Ojibwe) short for Makedewehaus, (Black meat or Burnt black meat) or Makwa meaning black or black bear and Wehaus meaning meat. It is slang for people or persons of African American descent.
