Before it was used as it is now, the term was a character created solely for power-leveling in a video game. You would create a character and join a party of stronger characters to leach the higher XP from their kills. Resulting in reaching level cap in a fraction of the time it would take if you played as it was designed through the story line.
Bro, i got my twink character built so lets go raiding! Want to level cap before I pass out tonight.
