Just like a Johnny-come-lately, except she doesn't show up at all. She's very keen to make it and sounds very excited about the happening, and then something unexpectedly goes wrong... and, inevitably, she bails.

Stella: "I'm gonna be there for 6:30! Really excited about dinner!"
Her friends: "See you then!"

1 hour later:

Stella: "Actually, as I left work I cycled over a bed of nails and got a flat tire and had to carry my bike home in the rain so I don't think I'm gonna make it for dinner any longer guys. See you next time"

My best friend and sister. I love her so much. She’s smart and goes to a cool college. She knows how to take care of herself and is very mature and independent.
