sagging pants

Style of fashion of wearing pants. Originated in the DC area around the mid to late 80's not by any designer in particular. But upon ill supply of small pants (size 28 to 34 waist sizes) in prison system. The mass arrest youth for petty drug sells imploded upon the prison system (Lorton correctional institution). The prison system manufactured their own uniforms and not capable of meeting the demand and thus the youth were forced to wear oversized pants (of which even when using something (usually as torn strip of bed sheet (which was in violation of rules) the pants still sagged down. Not being feed enough. Even with overzealous guards, they were able to sneak food out in bread sleave. They took that to the streets when released as it was a way to conceal drugs, and guns in their pants without it being detected by police officers.

Try it for yourself. waist 30 with a pair of size 36 pants on tied with string by the front to belt loops. Tie a loaf of bread to that string and put on an oversized shirt (one that fits a person wearing size 36 jeans).

That's where it came from and nothing to do with anyone being gay or a punk in jail or prison advertising their gay lifestyle.

You have police official running campaigns to make it disfavored. Like getting the fashion industry to make skinny jeans. Real street people and reject it as they know what it is for what it is.
How they get all that food back from the kitchen? Them youngins with them sagging pants on, just put in their pants and walk out.

sag out

A term used to define the undesirable appearance of a person's clothing or outfit.

Sagging out can be at it's most noticeable form when items of clothing can be seen as drooping, in combination with slumped posture, flat hair, loose pant legs (otherwise known as bootcut), and more generally, an unfitted article of clothing.
Did you see Simon Cowell? That was a sag out if I've ever seen one.

Fag-Sag

A specific style of sagging used in the early 2000s gay scene to signal "availability" without saying a word.

The trend kicked off after David Beckham and other straight celebs started rocking diamond studs in both ears, effectively killing the "right ear is queer" rule and leaving the community without a reliable gaydar hack. To fix the confusion, the "Fag-Sag" was born.

Unlike the classic 90s hip-hop or skater sag—which featured baggy boxers—the fag-sag required wearing the tightest underwear possible (usually briefs or trunk-style). The goal was to drop the jeans low enough so that the fabric became translucent or tight enough to clearly define the wearer's cakes.
"Ever since Beckham ruined the earring trick, the club has been a guessing game. Thank god for the fag-sag; if I see white spandex peeking out of those low-riders, I know he's on the team."

"Bro, pull your pants up or change your underwear. You're out here rocking a fag-sag in a pair of tighty-whities and it's making the skaters look bad."
