In the sport of Disc Golf, any putt that hits the top band.

On yellow banded baskets this action produces a loud "Eeeeeee" sound which is followed by the crowd going "Awwwww". Originated in Gulley Park, Arkansas.

This led to a betting game (side bet) in which players keep track of "donkeys". The first person to hit the band with a putt gets a "d", the next to hit the band hits the "o" and so on until donkey is spelled...then..every "donkey" after that pays!
You hit a "donkey" and you pay everyone on your card.

"Nice donkey, pay up sucka."

"If that putt hadn't of hit that branch, we would've never heard that beautiful donkey"

Sometimes heard from several cards away...
"DonnKaayyyyyyyyy!!!"
