Relationship delay

The long pauses that occur between replies when texting or chatting with a friend on Facebook. This delay can be explained, after investigation, by their preoccupation with talking to their boyfriend/girlfriend, who is also online.

Friend One: Hey! How are you
8 minutes later.
Friend Two: Oh, hi. Sorry, distracted. I was talking to this boy.
Friend One: Relationship delay..
12 minutes later.
Friend Two: What?

The time between someone saying something idiotic and when someone criticizes you for it.

Arthur:So you get athletes foot from watching basketball right?

Jessy:Did you really just think you got athletes foot from watching basketball?

courtesy delay

Refers to any pause or temporary postponement of a minor action (speaking, standing up or shifting your position while seated or in bed, switching on/off a light or music device, performing a "noisy" task like moving furniture or operating a motorized household device, etc.) that a thoughtful considerate individual performs (often with a moderate taxing of his own patience/bodily comfort) so as to avoid/minimize the startling/distressing impact of said action on one or more other nearby humans, such as a slumbering partner who is super-exhausted and/or is in a lot of pain or other acute bodily discomfort that he feels whenever he's awake, and thus the only time he has relief is when he's actually asleep.

Cool dude #1: Geez, buddy --- why da awkward limp and droopy shoulders?!?!???
Cool dude #2: (groaning in pain as he hobbles over to sit beside his friend to watch the ball game with him): Oh, just da classic "courtesy delay" woes, pal... I was sitting cross-legged on the grass with my girlfriend, and she had fallen asleep with her head in my lap... I knew she'd been up since 3 a.m. to help her mom care for her colicky baby brother, and so naturally, Mr. Soft-Hearted here couldn't bear to wake her up by changing position, and so I just hadda sit motionless on the cold hard ground with my muscles going numb and cramping up for half an hour till she finally came awake to turn over herself.

Delayed Flexing

Delayed Flexing in the simplest terms, is during the time that school comes back in, waiting to flex until after everyone else come back from the summer. Every body will wanna flex on them thotties when they come back from summer right? We’ll, wait till them broke ass boys are done and then come back one week looking fresh AF. Then you’ll stand out to them hot hunnies ya know?

Broke ass boy: Damn how is Tommy pulling all these hoes? I came back looking nice as hell and got no booty.
Other broke ass boy: Shit we all flexed at once and he waited to hella flex and now they don’t see us. He really got us with the Delayed Flexing

DElay

A word used as a term for when a Warframe content update is pushed back.
It stems from the name of Warframe's developers, Digital Extremes, abbreviated as DE, and DE's inconsistency with content release dates.

I would be playing the new open world area by now, but it got DElayed to next month!

When you can't make it to an previous fixed time and you have to delay it for a bit.
