A sound of sadness, depression, or arrogance. Usually used in a "Facebook" status.

Example:

or

Jim: Hey Fred, whats wrong?
Fred: I feel Merf-y today :/

Origin: as a mistyped word using T9 texting.

1. Slang for nerd, or geek.

2. Something which either is nerdy or geeky or exhibits nerdy or geeky qualities (WoW, Pokemon, anything you can be a fan of basically)

3. An insult for someone who is even worse than a nerd.

Only merfs like (insert geeky/nerdy/lame/otaku/weird thing here). Freaking merf...
