This material is what forms the Nether fortress. Regular nether bricks have similar colour with netherrack, but much darker - kinda murrey (dark reddish-purple). Unlike other stone-tier building blocks, nether bricks have a fence variant. A redder variant of the block called red nether bricks can be crafted with two nether warts and two bricks.
Nether bricks are one of my favourite building blocks. I think they are very well-suited for roofing and flooring material. The intense dark colour is perfect for my Gothic cathedral builds.
