To hit or bang something that isn’t working correctly in order to make it function properly. Typically a mechanical or electrical device.

Tapping is a term in games like CS:GO and Valorant. When tapping, the defender wants to fake out his/her opponent by making them believe they are "Sticking the defuse".

Sticking, as mentioned, is the exact opposite, where the defender holds the defuse. If the attackers are still alive, it's best to hold the defusers off-angle to allow and defend for the stick.

Tap the bomb, see if you can bait him out.
