If someone attempts to continue an argument after their argument has been disproven, with the same argument, they have committed the fallacy of who asked.

Get the Argument mug.A rebuttal used in a debate or argument purely for the intent to overly simplify their opponent's point, even purposefully misinterpreting it.
An example being if A is critical of the president then B can say "you only believe that because your candidate lost the election." The statement can either be true or false, but it's use is to end A's argument. The rebuttal does not actually do anything for the purpose of debate.

"I can't handle talking to fans of the Star Wars sequels. Anytime I say I didn't like it they use the shut-down argument 'you only hate it because what you predicted was wrong.'"

Get the Shut-down Argument mug.The bubbly girl wanted to make everyone as argumentative as her, so she divided them into people that thought the new sandwich taco was a sandwich and people that thought it was a taco so that they would shoot each other in arguments over whether it was a sandwich or a taco.

Get the Argumentative mug.The cosmological argument is the notion that God created the universe and that there is always a cause and an effect. The three main parts to the cosmological argument is the uncaused cause, unmoved mover and possibility and necessity/possibility and contingency. There are 5 ways in Aquinas's version of the cosmological argument, however I'm only discussing the 3 that I stated as they are the main parts of the argument as urban dictionary only let's me type a limited quantity of characters.
Uncaused cause (4 premises and a conclusion)
• Everything has a cause
•Every cause has a cause
• This cannot go back forever
•Therefore there must be an uncaused cause which doesn't have a cause.
•The uncaused cause is what we understand as God
Unmoved mover (2 premises and a conclusion)
•Everything that has been moved by something and that mover has been moved by something else.
•This chain cannot go back forever or movement would not have started in the first place.
•Therefore there must be an unmoved mover which isn't itself moved. This unmoved mover must be God
Possibility and necessity/possibility and contingency:
This one is simple. A contingent being is a being which needs a cause and a necessary being is the opposite meaning a being doesn't need a cause. It is believed that God is the necessary being who created the world.

Now that you know the fundamentals of the cosmological argument, read up the teleological argument (the argument from design)

Get the Cosmological argument mug.Someone that lives to argue. There's a difference between getting your point across or letting somebody know you mean business and living to argue without having a legitimate reason, point, or cause.
The mouthy instigator was interested in dollar signs and looking like she was always in the right, so everything in life for her was an oppurtunity to try and show off how she was right and the other person was wrong, because she lived to argue and make money, there wasn't much more to her than that, she was about as plain as an old tin pail gets. An argumentative person usually wants to turn the world into them.
