Steven's Law

When a piece of media (most often a show) is objectively badly written, it will garner fans anyway due to mental health awareness and/or LGBTQ representation. Some examples include 13 Reasons Why, Glee Club, and the namesake of this law, Steven Universe. It may also very well be the case that the media has some redeeming qualities, such as good character moments, or good visual composition, however these qualities are a vast minority compared to the objectively bad narratives within the show.

Person A: "I like insert media because it has gays in it!"

Person B: "Is it really good, or are you following Steven's Law?"

A Steven is an amazing guy who all the girls love. He is super smart even if he doesn’t act like it sometimes. He is caring, funny, SUPER attractive, and probably one of the most incredible person ever. He can be very stubborn at times but after he opens up to you, you get to see the real him. He has a decent amount of friends but he gets taken advantage of way too much. If you get to be friends with a Steven, you are VERY lucky and you should hold on to him and never let go. If you get to date him, you basically just won the boyfriend lottery because he is loyal asf and will never do anything to hurt you.

Girl #1 : Omg he is so sweet! What’s his name?
