A fanfiction is where an author takes the characters, or story from a book/movie/etc. and create a new story/movie/book/etc. from it. The author of this piece of work would not have been there in the creating of the original work.

Her fanfiction killed off all of the main characters of the original book.

Typically characterized by bad grammar and worse writing, fanfiction strives to undermine the careful development of popular characters by having them act in character-breaking ways.

The goal of writing fanfiction is often to find popularity among fellow unpublishable writers and fans of a common work of fiction.

Usually consisting of gay ships. Written because someone has just finished watching/reading something and is unhappy with the end results or feels theirs is better. Y/N is nothing like us and we hate her for it. Wattpad is only used for the comments and A03 is the superior site to read on.

Fanfiction example: “You wake up in sssniperwolf bed, looking extra hungover. Sssniperwolf looks at you and says, “hey daddy” you reply “hi momma” Lia then reaches for your disco stick, pulling your underwear off in delight. She then opens her mouth, carelessly forgetting about her intimate relationship, and she starts the process.” That’s all i’ll say the rest becomes pretty disturbing…
