The ninth stop on the old par course at UC Santa Cruz. An old-growth redwood about 200ft high, with ladder-like limbs that make scaling it a breeze. Views of Monterey Bay from the top, and a Nell-like sway that has to be one of the best rides of your life.

Tree 9, at UC Santa Cruz, is in danger of being cut down.

Saki Tree

A rare one of kind tree in Niko, Japan that flowers a pink/white bulbus silk flower that encases within it's centre a fermented liquid which is the national Japanese drink, Saki.

Revelers at the time of the Samurai's after a ceremonial feast would congragate at the Saki Tree for libations. Saki! Saki!

Shit Tree

The Shit Tree is a most unfortunate place to sit. Don't take a picnic there whatever you do. One who is having a particularly crappy day would say - I have been sitting under the Shit Tree today. Like Newton noted the apple falling, so would you note the Shit falling. Raining down on your head.

Poor Dave - he's been sitting under the Shit Tree all day.

Charlie's so unlucky - she might as well have been born under the Shit Tree.
