Textbook

A book of text, or words
A schoolbook

That book which your teacher gives you to copy problems and questions out of for homework
Also known to weigh way too much
Sometimes will have answers at the end, but only the odd ones (like in Common Core)

My school gave me a textbook but I lost it so I had to pay like 50 bucks.

My textbook is so heavy that I leave it at home so I don’t have to carry it.

Textbook

Used to describe an asshole who may or may NOT fit any textbook definition. It's origins are from a textbook case of a sociopath but it's usage became much broader over time. As long as two people can decide what it means, it works.

Boss: You're 3 minutes late! I'm docking you a half-hour's pay!
Worker 1 to Worker 2 (under his breath and possible shaking his head in a very slight negative way): Textbook.
