Though often initiated by the traveller, there are times when a Rim job is forced upon him/her with the fate of the realm in jeopardy. Payment for a successful Rim job comes in the form of gold or pointed objects one can use on future Rim jobs.

To join the Companions you must accept their Rim jobs. With each successful Rim job their trust in you will grow.
