Author of the classic fantasy novels Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. His full name is "John Ronald Reuel Tolkien." He was born in South Africa in 1892, but grew up in England, and died there in 1973. Aside from writing, he was a linguist and a professor of Old English at Oxford University.

Lu Bu'd

A word coined by fans of the Dynasty Warriors video games with two usages. Derived from Lu Bu, a character in these video games.

"Lu Bu'd" is sometimes used as an adjective by fans to describe a character whose attack power has been substantially increased, making him or her as powerful as Lu Bu and as difficult to defeat.

"Lu Bu'd" can also mean the act of being defeated by Lu Bu, or a Lu Bu'd character. With this usage, it means the same thing as owned.

"OMFG, Lu Bu'd Zhao Yun in the Nanman Campaign is almost impossible to defeat."

"Dude, you've been Lu Bu'd."

oha

Shortened form of "Ohayou gozaimasu," the Japanese salutation equivalent to "Good morning." It is a cute way of saying hello.

"Oha" was made popular by a Japanese celebrity, Shingo Katori, on the TV show "Saturday SMAP." He uses it as his catchphrase, and used it in his song "Shingo Mama no Oha Rock."

A hand gesture usually accompanies an "Oha!" greeting. On the first syllable "oh", hold up your hands, palms out, with your index fingers touching your thumbs (like the American "O.K." gesture). On the second syllable "ha," straighten out your index fingers and thumbs, and push your hands forward.

Oha! How are you doing this morning?

Dragon Slave

The most powerful black magic spell in the anime series Slayers, excepting the Giga Slave. This spell calls upon the power of the dark lord Shabranigdo. The spell's original name was "Dragon Slay," but over time, "slay" became corrupted into "slave." The spell is powerful enough to destroy a fair-sized city. For this reason, pissing off short, small-breasted sorceresses is not advised.

"Dragon Slave" can be used as a verb to mean "to destroy with a Dragon Slave spell." "Dragon Slaved" is an adjective to describe a person, place, or object which has been destroyed with this spell.

There used to be a town where that crater is, but it was Dragon Slaved shortly after this short girl and her weird friends came to town.

bastie

Shortened form of bastard, meaning "a mean, disagreeable, or otherwise unpleasant person or animal, especially a rival or enemy." Plural form is "basties."

Those Hildebear basties in Phantasy Star Online are a pain to kill when you're only at level 1.

slackbitch

Concatenation of slacker and bitch. A slackbitch is a person (generally female, but may be male) who is extremely lazy and prone to procrastination. The term is used as a playful, mocking insult, and is most often applied to oneself, not other people. Slackbitches are usually quite proud of being slackbitches.

I am such a slackbitch, I don't use hangers or drawers to hold my clothes, they just lie about on the floor in varying states of cleanliness.
