Urban Pi

Irreverent or politically incorrect math definitions on and about the number π, most of which stand zero chance of ever being published in a school textbook, because they are deemed inappropriate or unsuitable to the immature or puritan mind, or to those with a poor sense of humor.
How could pi enthusiasts be deprived of a lexicon of urban pi terms or phrases just because some of them are allegedly blasphemous or irreligious or preposterous?

Mask Wave

When people from high-risk countries that have been hit by more than one wave of Covid-19 are so paranoid or petrified that they would wear more than one face mask each time—for instance, two masks for a second wave, and three for a third wave.
As Covid-19 second wave hits Singapore, third wave sweeps Delhi, and fourth wave grips Hong Kong, first-world countries are worried that their local supply of masks might be hijacked by a mask wave, as some extreme citizens take extra-precautionary measures to avoid getting infected.

Mask Constipation

When some selfish fellows or anti-maskers find it so hard to take out their face mask to wear it in public until they are threatened with a fine by the police if they refuse to do so.
Some unvaccinated religious zealots or diehard conspiracists would rather go to jail than pay a fine for refusing to don a mask in crowded places, which is a big concern for the authorities as these covidiots refuse to hear anything about mask constipation.

Mask Worship

When mute and deaf gods and goddesses (and man-made beasts or mythical animals) in houses of idolatrous worship are masked to set an example for followers or pilgrims how they ought to behave themselves selflessly in public.
Some religious leaders reminded their members that masking isn’t just a socially responsible act performed towards their fellow believers and unbelievers, but also serves as a reverential act of mask worship.

Holy Pi

When the number π self-proclaims to be God’s “anointed” number, because it is the most famous constant in the whole of mathematics—no number has had such an impact on popular culture that even some mathophobic folks wouldn’t mind tattooing it conspicuously to look mathematically cool in the same way that unbelievers wear a cross to appear religious.
Because π is the beloved symbol of choice for millions of people worldwide, or even deified by some pi fanatics and numerologists, it’s not preposterous for the “sacred number” to be conferred the title of “Holy Pi.”

Piccine

A one-time vaccine, touted by dubious pharmaceutical companies, that allegedly helps boost someone’s mathematical brain, by activating their atrophied cerebral cells to think more logically, rationally, and critically—a jab that could shoot their IQ to no fewer than a dozen points.
Rogue doctors from China, India, and Nigeria are discretely or secretly promoting piccine shots to gullible villagers, when they come down to get their partially trialed Covid-19 jabs.

Math Shot

When publishers or bookstores decide to offer a big discount to vaccinated customers keen to hone their mathematical problem-solving or guesstimation skills, who show their vaccination card and the math book to the cashier—a promotion to get kids, parents, and teachers all jabbed to minimize infection or reinfection, not to say, hospitalization.
At a popular bookstore, the math shot promotion for a set of four Singapore math textbooks and workbooks is: “$39 with Shots; $144 sans Shots.”
