It has been known for many centuries now that the 'Gay ear' is commonly the left ear.

Right= Straight
Left= Gay

Guy 1- Hey are you gay?
Guy 2- Why would you think that?
Guy 1- Because you have your left ear pierced and that's the gay ear.
