kirking

The act of acquiring an extra hour or two of sleep through the use of a vague medical condition as an excuse. Kirking requires you to show up at 9:30 to 10:00 am thus allowing you to maintain your ability to give others a rash of shit if they take a sick day.

"It's 9:30 and the boss still isn't here. He must be kirking this morning."
