basting

Basting (verb/noun)
bast•ing | /ˈbeɪ.stɪŋ/

The act of excessively praising or promoting a person, group, or idea by falsely or prematurely attributing to them the qualities of being "based" (and often "redpilled"), usually when evidence suggests they are anything but.

(Internet slang) Reusing the drippings/runoff from an enthusiastic glazing session (i.e., heavy, often sycophantic hype) to artificially coat the subject in an additional layer of perceived basedness, making them appear juicier and more authentic than they actually are.
“Stop basting that politician; he’s folded on every issue he claimed to stand for.”

“The whole thread is just his fans basting him after that mid take—pure glaze runoff.”
